Meet Dr. S. Whitney
Dr. Steven Whitney graduated from Huron High School in 1971 in Huron, South Dakota. He attended the University of South Dakota and then served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in South Africa and Rhodesia from 1972-1974. He finished his undergraduate schooling at BYU in Provo, Utah from 1975-1977.
Dr. S. Whitney graduated Magna Cumme Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He attended Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska from 1978-1982.
Dr. Whitney served in the United States Air Force as a General Dentist from 1983-1987, while completing a one-year General Dentistry residency. Dr Whitney completed a four year residency in Oral Surgery at the University of Florida in 1991, and completed a 22 year career in the United States Air Force as a full Colonel and Chief of Oral Surgery at several military bases.
Dr. Steven Whitney moved to Montana in 2004 to join in practice with his long-time friend. Together with Dr. D. Whitney, they have oral surgery offices in both Great Falls and Havre, and are staff surgeons at Benefis Healthcare.

Dr. Steven Whitney is a board certified member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS) and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA).
Away from the office, he is an active member of his church and community and has participated as a Boy Scout and youth leader for over 22 years. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as music, almost all sports and the great outdoors. He has completed in marathons and triathlons.
Dr. Steven Whitney has been married to his wife Maxine for 36 years. They are proud parents of 6 children and 11 grandchildren.
